A card as printed in one set, with one collector number. Lightning Bolt from Alpha and from Modern Masters are two printings of one card name. |

Non‑foil, foil, etched foil, or one of the special foil treatments (surge, galaxy, textured and others), each shown by name. Prices differ by finish. |
| Location |
Where a copy physically is: a box, binder, deck or anything else. A copy can have no location. |
| Location type |
Box, Binder, Deck or Other. Decides which tab a location appears on in Collections. |
| Group |
Two or more locations of the same type treated as one for viewing and searching, such as the rows of one storage box. |
| Entire Collection |
Every copy you own, regardless of location. |
| Batch |
In Auto Scan, a run of cards that becomes one location when added. Batch names count up on their own: Bin1, Bin2, Bin3. |
| Batch Summary |
The review screen after any scan, where matches are checked and cards are added. |
| Scan filter |
A limit on which cards the scanner considers: a set, a first letter or a year, plus whether tokens and promos are allowed. Scanning only; never affects your collection. |
| Idea (deck) |
A decklist with no physical copies pulled into it. |
| Assembled (deck) |
A deck with real copies pulled in. Their location is the deck's name. |
| Role |
A named bucket in a deck (Ramp, Removal) defined by search criteria. Cards matching the criteria are listed under it. |
| Tradable |
A copy friends may see and ask for in a trade. New copies are tradable by default. |
| Friend |
Someone who accepted your invite code, or whose code you accepted. Both sides must accept. |
| Display name |
The name friends and trading partners see instead of your email. Set at sign‑up. |
| Stack by |
How search results are grouped: one tile per Card Name, or one per Version (printing). |
| CMC |
Mana value: the total cost to cast a card. |
